I led the formation of the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training Organisations. In 2006 this involved bringing together 5 training organisations to look at share interests and work collaboratively to develop the UK context for this work. Now, in 2016 the network represents 20 training organisations and has a structured revolving process of leadership. I am part of the executive committee for this group. The Network has played a significant role in positively influencing good practice and the successful implementation of the NICE guidance within the NHS. The UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training Organisations launched a listing of mindfulness-based teachers. I am part of the working party that developed this. It is a world first and is already having an impact on good practice – a blog I wrote was centred around this development.
