Description
State of the Climate is the authoritative annual summary of the global climate published in the Bulletin of the American Meteorology Society (BAMS).The report provides a comprehensive update on Earth’s climate indicators, including notable weather events and other data collected by environmental monitoring stations and
instruments located on land, water, ice and in space.
The report is led by scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Centres for Environmental Information and published by BAMS and is based on collaborative contributions from more than 530 scientists.
Iestyn had a leading role in two key sections of the report including on Lake ice and Lake surface temperature.
