DEFRA Fisheries Management Plans collaborative evidence workshop

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipation in Academic workshop, seminar, course

Description

The recently published Defra led Fisheries Management Plans have highlighted a range of evidence gaps that need to be addressed over time to support the management of these important fish stocks. Defra is bringing the FMP community together for an in-person workshop to collectively discuss the evidence gaps and to identify how we can work collaboratively to fill them.

The workshop will be highly participative so that everyone can input their expertise and ideas. The key outputs will be a shared collective view of the priority evidence gaps, options for how to address them, and discussions on how the FMP community can take this forward together.

Who is invited?
The workshop will bring together representatives from a range of sectors across the FMP community, including academia, industry, conservation, recreation, government policy, evidence, science, and regulation
