Keynote delivered at one-day symposium on cultural representations of new rural mobilities in Galicia.
The talk analyzed the emergence of rural themes in literary, film, and media fields. It focused on the reading of two highly successful cultural products associated with this rural boom: the film As bestas (2022) by Rodrigo Sorogoyen and the novel Nobody Remains (2022) by Brais Lamela, arguing that they offer two opposing views on the dispossession processes that contemporary Galician rural society has been forced to.
