Description

Destination STEM placement to carry out projects on Optical Wireless Communications: The placement provided a unique opportunity to explore the field of electronics and communication technologies via a number of practical projects. A laboratory induction followed by training on basic equipment was provided, along with material and guidance on the basic concepts of optical wireless communications - utilising light as a medium for transmitting voice and data communications. The projects enabled both to demonstrate their newfound knowledge and improve their skills in circuit design, assembly, and troubleshooting by bridging the knowledge gap between theory and practice.
