Do Left-Handers Worship the Devil? What Science Says About Handedness and Brain Asymmetry

Activity: OtherTypes of Public engagement and outreach - Public lecture/debate/seminar

Description

Left handedness is rare, stigmatised, and related to asymmetries in behaviour in how the two halves of our brain operate. In this talk, Dr David Carey outlined some of the claims about what being lefthanded means. He also showed how our handedness relates to other asymmetries in how we behave. He also shared some of our work at Bangor, which allows us to predict something about asymmetry of our brain for speech and language.
