Invited plenary contribution to the Inaugural Roundtable on University Continuing Education, hosted by HKMU LiPACE, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. The presentation explored how lifelong learning can be understood as a connected institutional ecosystem, extending beyond traditional programme provision to include flexible professional learning, micro-credentials, community and adult learning, civic engagement, and public engagement linked to research impact. The roundtable brought together senior leaders and practitioners from universities and institutions across Africa, Asia and Europe to discuss the future of lifelong learning in higher education.
