OWEKH (Offshore Wind Evidence + Knowledge Hub) Technical Topic Groups to help create Evidence Review Notes on Benthic and Intertidal Habitats and on Physical Processes (External organisation)

Activity: MembershipMembership of committee

Description

Membership of several Technical Topic Groups for OWEKH (Offshore Wind Evidence + Knowledge Hub), on Marine Physical Processes and on Benthic and Intertidal Habitats through several workshops per year. OWEKH serves as a centralised framework for the offshore wind community to signpost and synthesise evidence on environmental impact from offshore wind across the UK. It facilitates a collaborative Community of Practice (CoP), anchored by an annual programme of Technical Topic Groups (TTGs) that review and translate evidence into practical guidance. Th TTGs are groups of experts focusing on an individual specialist topic area, collaborating to identify, curate and create effective practical guidance. Through the TTGs, OWEKH produces Evidence Review Notes (ERNs): expert-reviewed documents that document state of knowledge in specific topics to aid decision makers, inform EIA scoping, marine licensing/permitting, planning, lease rounds, and potentially policy development.
