Three Years of Success: Friars Student Reaches UK Mandarin Final Again!

The Confucius Institute at Bangor University is delighted to congratulate George Wither, Year 13 at Ysgol Friars, on reaching the UK final of the Mandarin Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition, taking place in London at the end of April.

As one of only two students from Wales to reach the final, this is a truly outstanding achievement. George is currently preparing for his HSK Mandarin examination with the support of the Confucius Institute and his dedicated tutor, Hongmei Wu, to whom we extend our sincere thanks for her commitment and guidance.

This marks the third consecutive year that a student from Ysgol Friars has reached the national final, a wonderful testament to the strength of the partnership and the students’ enthusiasm for Mandarin.
