Vertical Conversations

Description

The first meeting of Vertical Dance Forum (VDF) as part of a series funded by Creative Europe and match funded by Arts Council Wales and Pontio. VDF is a group of six European and one Canadian vertical dance artists. This first meeting was hosted and organised by myself and my company, VDKL, with Pontio. For 4 days, 5 members of VDF collaborated with 12 international professional vertical dance artists in the public spaces of Pontio. The work in progress was shared informally with the public on 27th July 2017, after which I gave a public talk about spatial perception in vertical dance and then my company performed Porth. During the week we also taught 3 public taster workshops. After this there were two days of closed meetings for VDF members.
