    Vertical Conversations encompassed a series of activities taking place over 4 days in Pontio, Bangor, North Wales. These included a four-day creative, collaborative exploration of the public spaces of Pontio Arts and Innovation Centre called ‘Vertical Conversations’, culminating in a public showcase event to share the results of the explorations. A public talk entitled ‘Shifting Perspectives’ by Kate Lawrence with Q&A between public and VDF members. Public lunchtime workshops in vertical dance. One of the aims of this event was to launch the Creative Europe project and focus specifically on public engagement by creating work in public spaces and facilitating dialogue between creative professionals and the public. Alongside this central aim, were associated aims of sharing knowledge, developing networks and building capacity. The event was hosted by Vertical Dance Kate Lawrence who invited professional vertical dance artists to participate in the event, resulting in 12 participants (5 local and 7 from around Europe). A local digital technical team of three was established with VDKL long-time collaborator Rob Spaull, bringing in the expertise of two local experts new to vertical dance and the National Poet of Wales, Ifor ap Glynn collaborated on the project.
