I contributed to the virtual Food Warriors Conference in conjunction with Awel Aman Tawe, an educational event for schools across Pembrokeshire focused on food waste, local food systems, and climate action. My presentation, “Food Warriors: How Saving Food Can Help Save the Planet,” introduced pupils to the links between food waste, embedded resources, climate change, and social fairness. The session encouraged young people to see everyday actions, such as reducing plate waste, using leftovers safely, and raising awareness through creative campaigns, as meaningful forms of climate action. My message to them as Food Warriors was to “NOTICE, ASK AND ACT”
