    As a result of the recommendations made by my PhD, Sain Records were able to attract a grant of £30,000 to develop a new bespoke streaming service for Wales.

    The general publish will gain a new service providing the streaming content that they want as a price point that is considered to be acceptable.

    Description of the underpinning research

    The KESS funded research made recommendations that mainstream streaming services such as Spotify weren't best positioned to fulfil niche minority language market needs.

    Beneficiaries and reach of impact

    The main beneficiaries to date will be Sain Records and most other smaller labels and recording artists in Wales. However, this is now generating attention with other niche minority language territories across Europe.
