    Description of impact

This project will provide helpful and relevant insights for policy makers and local civil society groups and organisations. It will help individuals involved in running organisations to better understand the difficulties in getting people to take part and the reasons for this; and suggest ways in which levels of participation may be linked to perceptions and practices of particular civil society organisations. Impacts at policy level will focus on providing policy makers with a better understanding of the effect that changing patterns of participation has on individuals and communities and the implications of these changings for implementing participation initiatives positively.
