Transforming primary school children's experience of the local myth and legends through an interactive programme of adapted academic content (Radulescu), performance and storytelling (Brownson) and art (Dr Maria Hayes) in 2 local schools with funding from the Bangor Fund, VC initiative

Description of the underpinning research

The work is informed by Prof. Radulescu's research for the Cambridge History of Arthurian Literature and Culture and her lecture at the 27th International Arthurian Congress in July 2024, as well as the Bangor Fund project of the same title 'Home is Where the Legends Start', which included the selection, research, and organisation of an online exhibition of rare books from the Centre for Arthurian Studies and Special Collections at Bangor University, particularly in relation t the local area but also the global appeal of the legends, aimed at both specialists and the general public, with a view to also functioning as teaching material in schools within the New Curriculum in Wales.
