In 2021 the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child adopted General Comment 25 on children’s rights in relation to the digital environment I lead a submission that highlighted need to recognise that profiling of children’s emotional life is profoundly problematic. Sections 17, 63 and 64 of General Comment 25 seem to have taken this onboard. (We were the only submission to focus on emotions).
