Overview

Binru joined Bangor Business School in Sep 2022 as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Banking and Finance. He specialises in Empirical Banking, Financial Intermediation and Corporate Credit Market. His research output has attracted policy-makers' attention and has been featured in some major media outlets including the Columbia Law School (CLS) Blue Sky Blog, the Daily Telegraph, the Duke Financial Economics Center Blog, the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) Blog, and the Oxford Business Law Blog.

His research has been published in leading academic journals including Journal of Corporate FinanceThe European Financial Management, and European Journal of Finance. Also, he held a visiting position at Bank of Finland, Helsinki. His research projects have been funded by the British Academy/The Leverhulme Trust, the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (Wales Innovation Network) and Taith Research Mobility Programme.

Additionally, he has been an ad-hoc reviewer for several internationally well-established journals, such as European Financial Management, European Journal of Finance, British Accounting Review, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, International Journal of Finance and Accounting, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, etc.

Binru is currently serving as the Interim Director of Postgraduate Research at Bangor Business School.
