Overview

Giovanna is a Research Fellow in Pharmaco-economics at the Centre for Health Economics and Medicine Evaluation.

She holds a PhD in Pharmaco-economics from Bangor University, an MSc in Research Methods and Statistics from the University of Manchester and a MA degree in International Development: poverty, conflict and reconstruction from the University of Manchester. Giovanna's training has primarily been in  quantitative research methods.

Giovanna joined CHEME in 2015. Since then she has been appointed as the Health Economist of a variety of research projects and randomised controlled trials. These research led to several publications in prestigious journals icluding LANCET, and Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

Apart from her research endeavors, Giovanna participates in professional societies and groups. She is a member of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), the Health Economics Study Group (HESG), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the Health Technology Assessment International Society (HTAi).
