Personal profile

Overview

I am currently a PhD student at Bangor University specialising in data visualisation. Data visualisation may be broadly divided into two categories: exploratory visualisation, where visualisation is used to better understand the features of a novel data set; and explanatory visualisation, where visualisation is used to effectively convey information contained within a previously explored data set in order to facilitate viewer understanding. My current research pertains to explanatory visualisation.

I have previous experience in the field of psychology where my research interests included visual perception, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and visual attention.
