Personal profile

Overview

After completing my undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Liverpool Hope University, I have recently started my current position as a PhD researcher at Bangor University, working with a supervisory team consisting of Dr Vicky Gottwald, Dr Germano Gallicchio (Bangor University) and Dr Robin Owen (Liverpool Hope University).

Research

I am currently working on a project titled "Language Matters: A comprehensive analysis of attentional focus for proprioception and target aiming". Within this project, I will be using both qualitative and quantitative research designs to explore attentional focus in a broader context than it's traditional interpretation.

Other

I have also worked within an applied sport setting. Coming from a competitive background in amateur boxing, I have earned my Level 2 England Boxing coaching certificate through Kingsway Boxing Club. I have also worked within various other Boxing and MMA clubs, depending on where I'm situated. I have also qualified as a Level 4 Strength & Conditioning coach.

Education/Academic qualification

Undergraduate, BSc, (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science. Dissertation title: "A Constraints-Led Approach to learning the boxing stance", School of Health and Sport Sciences, Liverpool Hope University

Award Date: 19 Jul 2023
