Overview

I am a PhD researcher in the School of Ocean Science, concentrating on the turbulence mixing in the Cape Cauldron region of the southeast Atlantic. I joined in the '2+2' project organized by Bangor University and Shanghai Ocean University, spending my first 2 years at Shanghai Ocean University for BSc Marine Science and final 2 years at Bangor for MSci Physical Oceanography. I got first class honours in my master study. My master's project was to quantify biogeochemical fluxes influenced by vertical mixing in the stratified Celtic Sea. My PhD project is directly tied to international QUICCHE (Quantifying inter-ocean fluxes across the Cape Cauldron hotspot of eddy kinetic energy) project.
