Overview

I am a Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Director of Student Engagement for the School of Social Sciences at Bangor University. I have a BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice and an MA in Comparative Criminology from Bangor University. In 2010 I was awarded my PhD for an Examination of Identity Theft and Identity Fraud and the Role of the National Identity Card Scheme.

My main research areas are: Crimes based on deception, victimisation in rural communities and public attitudes towards prison construction.

My teaching is focused on: Criminological theory, transnational crime and the use of imprisonment and punishment in society.
