    Abstract

    This chapter explores the role of narrating and story telling in Gregor Hens´ novel "Himmelssturz". Here, the chapter identifies the usage of metaphors as a key strategy to monitor and master life´s contingency. Thus, this chapter identifies literature as an anthropological tool for survival.
