Abstract
This paper will explore France’s Olympic and sporting history as Paris gears up to host the Summer Olympic Games for the first time since 1924. It analyse the way in which Paris is seeking to present itself to the world via the Games and discuss the potential legacy of this year’s Summer Olympics.
