Abstract

In this piece, Dr Marc Collinson from Bangor University explores the relevance of the Wales Office post-devolution. To what extent is this body simply a legacy of the pre-1999 settlement, which successive governments have been unable or unwilling to abolish, and does comparison with other Westminster systems suggest alternatives?
