Abstract
This research report was produced in collaboration with Creative Wales, the Welsh Government body responsible for Wales' creative industries. It provides evidence and analysis of the screen sector in Wales beyond the core urban cluster in the Cardiff Capital Region. It reveals key characteristics and obstacles faced by the screen sector across Wales' micro-clusters especially those based in north and west Wales at a time when the significance of creative micro-clusters is garnering attention from academics and policymakers. The repot draws on original data to demonstrate the impacts of the Covid19 pandemic on film and TV production at the level of both companies and workforce.
