Abstract

SIPM-OOFDM having an extra subcarrier index-power information-bearing dimension is, for the first time, proposed and investigated, which, compared to conventional OOFDM, offers considerable signal transmission capacity improvement without degrading system power budget and dispersion/nonlinearity tolerances.
