Abstract
Delivering a skill/discipline rich curriculum can be challenging for a HEI and here at the School of Medical Sciences we have relied extensively on external subject experts to deliver a full and rounded curriculum. Whilst successful collaboration with external experts can be rewarding for both staff and students there are also several pitfalls which can negatively impact student engagement and attainment. In this presentation we will examine why collaboration is required and how the process has been managed historically and moving forwards in order to develop robust, enjoyable and relevant modules.
