Integrating Organizational Learning and Knowledge Management theory and practice: An Action Research Study
My PhD thesis is a comprehensive action research project based on integrating organizational learning (OL) and knowledge management (KM) theories and practices. There is no substantial study that currently integrates Crossan, Lane and White, (1999) 4I organizational learning model with Nonaka and Takeuchi, (1995) SECI model which specifically focused on tacit knowledge in a CAR research project.
My research addresses the critical gap in relation to reconciling knowledge; accessing ‘lost’ organizational knowledge, discovering ‘unknown’ tacit knowledge and creating a culture of learning within organisations. In addition, my research explores how organisations can utilize untapped resources that support overcoming contemporary challenges, including surviving crisis situations like the Covid-19 pandemic, problem solving and increasing sustainability.
