Mae Laura yn Swyddog Ymchwil Ffarmacoeconomaidd yn y Ganolfan Economeg Iechyd a Gwerthuso Meddyginiaethau (CHEME), gyda chefndir mewn ymchwil canser ac ysgogi dewis. Ar hyn o bryd mae Laura yn gweithio ar brosiect dull cymysg sydd â’r nod o archwilio dewisiadau cleifion a Gweithwyr Proffesiynol Gofal Iechyd ar gyfer buddion a risgiau triniaeth ar gyfer metastasisau afu canser y coluddyn, a ariennir gan yr elusen North West Cancer Research. Cyn y swydd hon, Laura oedd Swyddog Effaith Ymyrraeth Gweithgaredd Corfforol ystafell ddosbarth y ‘Dynamic Dudes’ yn yr Ysgol Seicoleg, Prifysgol Bangor. Yn ddiweddar, mae Laura wedi cyflwyno ei thesis PhD a gwblhaodd yn y Ganolfan Economeg Iechyd a Gwerthuso Meddyginiaethau (CHEME). Nod PhD Laura oedd archwilio hoffterau cleifion, eu gofalwyr anffurfiol a’u Gweithwyr Proffesiynol Gofal Iechyd ar gyfer gofal dilynol canser gynaecolegol. Mae ganddi MSc mewn Seicoleg Iechyd o Brifysgol Ulster, a BSc (Anrh) mewn Seicoleg o Brifysgol Bangor.

Overview

Laura is a Pharmacoeconomic Research Officer at the Centre for Health Economics and Medical Evaluation, with a background in cancer research and mixed method preference elicitation. Laura is currently working on a mixed method project that aims to explore patients and Health Care Professionals’ preferences for the benefits and risks of treatment for colorectal cancer liver metastases, funded by the charity North West Cancer Research. Previous to this post Laura was the Impact Officer for the Dynamic Dudes classroom based physical activity intervention within the School of Psychology, Bangor University. Laura has recently submitted her PhD thesis which she completed within the Centre for Health Economics and Medical Evaluations. Laura’s PhD aimed to explore the preferences of patients, their informal caregivers and Health Care Professionals for gynaecological cancer follow-up care. She holds a MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Ulster, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Bangor University.
