N2 - Agricultural land use planning and management have witnessed many changes in the past few decades based on proliferation of advanced geo- spatial technologies (GIS, Remote Sensing, Drones, GPS, LiDAR, etc.). For instance one of the new areas with intensive application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and integrated geo-technologies is called precise agriculture (PA) or precision farming (PF). With the development of satellite navigation and the possibility to monitor agricultural machinery operation on the ground, the PA becomes a tool for the reduction of agricultural equipment costs, sustainable agricultural land, reduction of environmental pollution caused by agro-chemicals, bettere use of water resources and lowering of food prices and. Farmers in developed countries already regularly apply PA due to its numerous advantages. The goal of this paper is to show the possibilities of applying geospatial technologies in the development of the first phase of the PA system for the agricultural estate “Baštica” in Croatia, . Output results can be used in other parts of the Western Balkan region where agriculture plays an important economic role.
