Description

We've had a fantastic time extending our warm welcome to members of the local community at Bangor University and introducing them to the wonders of Chinese culture on our very first Community Day – and we are confident that everyone enjoyed it just as much as we did!

The fun and excitement of both children and adults were evident in our Chinese Calligraphy workshops, paper cutting, and Chinese knots!

The joy and enthusiasm displayed by both kids and adults during our Chinese Calligraphy, Paper cutting, and Chinese knots workshops were genuinely evident!

Here's what people had to say: ‘We had such a lovely time! Although we live in Bangor, we didn’t know that the university has many different departments and innovative initiatives. The kids loved making Chinese bracelets and learning to write numbers and names in Chinese.’

Our wide range of cultural and artistic activities not only provided a great deal of fun but also offered a delightful and enriching introduction to the vibrant world of Chinese culture. From our location at the heart of the Pontio building, between the college on the hill and the bustling city, we helped make this event not only a bridge between the community and the university but also between diverse global cultures.
