Description

Bangor University's Confucius Institute teamed up with David Hughes School for their International Days event, which featured workshops centred on Chinese language and culture. Held on the 10th and 12th of July, these sessions immersed students in learning Mandarin and exploring traditional Chinese crafts.

The event underscores David Hughes School's commitment to celebrating diversity and nurturing global understanding. Students took part in interactive Mandarin sessions tailored for various ages and language skill levels, mastering counting and pronunciation while gaining a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture.

Participants also enjoyed hands-on activities like crafting Chinese bracelets, where they learned about craftsmanship and the cultural significance of these artefacts.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating how the workshops broadened students' cultural perspectives and enhanced their Mandarin proficiency. The event enriched their educational experience and deepened their respect for the traditions of other cultures.
