Description
We have implemented a wide array of free courses for staff, students, and the broader community under our "Chinese Corner" initiative. This included Conversational Mandarin courses for both beginners and advanced learners, designed to boost practical communication skills.
Additionally, we offered a Mandarin for Teachers CPD (Continuous Professional Development) course, specifically tailored to equip educators with the necessary skills to teach Mandarin effectively. Our offerings also included a Chinese Characters course, aimed at deepening participants' understanding of Mandarin through its written form.
In alignment with Bangor University's broader educational goals, we supported 'Languages for All' courses. These were accessible not only to all university staff and students but also to the local community, fostering an inclusive environment for learning new languages.
Moreover, we supported seminars for first and second-year students, enriching their academic journey with essential linguistic and cultural insights.
Through these initiatives, we have cultivated a more inclusive and linguistically diverse educational setting, enhancing cultural appreciation and linguistic proficiency across the university and within the local community.
