Description

We were thrilled to join the Festival of Sciences, where we offered a unique experience blending the serenity of calligraphy with the soothing sounds of traditional Guzheng music. The event, held on 8th November in Pontio, drew many participants who were eager to explore the world of mindfulness and relaxation through the arts.

The festival-goers praised our workshop, expressing their gratitude for its unique and enriching experience. Many participants reported feeling reinvigorated and relaxed, and they left with newfound skills in both calligraphy and an appreciation for the enchanting sounds of the Guzheng.

‘I had never encountered the Guzheng before, but the instant I heard the music, I could unmistakably recognise its distinctively Chinese origin. It felt like a journey through time, and the sound was soulful and fascinating.’

Due to the overwhelming demand and positive feedback from this workshop, The Confucius Institute is committed to continuing our efforts to promote creativity and relaxation through the fusion of calligraphy and music. We plan to offer more events and workshops to reach a broader audience and share the benefits of these art forms.
