Description
We were thrilled to be part of today's "International Languages Superheroes" event, organised by Routes Cymru and supported by GwE Global Futures. The event welcomed Year 5 students from various schools to Bangor University for an immersive day of language and cultural activities.
During the event, tutors from the Confucius Institute captivated students with engaging Mandarin lessons and dynamic Tai Chi sessions. These activities were part of a broader effort to equip young learners with the skills and enthusiasm to become international language superheroes representing their schools and communities.
The Mandarin workshops introduced students to the basics of the language, offering a glimpse into Chinese culture and sparking interest in further language studies. Meanwhile, the Tai Chi sessions provided a unique opportunity for physical and mental exercise, demonstrating the holistic benefits of this ancient Chinese practice.
The Confucius Institute’s contributions added depth and diversity to the program, which also featured workshops in French, British Sign Language, and Italian.
The event underscored the importance of cultural exchange and language learning, inspiring the next generation of world citizens!
