Dr Alex Baxendale

Overview
Alex earned his Masters in Psychological Research, followed by a PhD in Educational Sciences at Bangor University. He has been a lecturer at Bangor University since 2020, and has been with the Psychology department since 2023.
Alex has a research background in cognitive neuropsychology, with projects looking into the use of self-talk to control executive functions in effort to boost cognitive output. This has included the use of EEG and rTMS. Additionally, he has a background in math anxiety, combined with self-talk, alongside numerical cognition and how it relates to working memory processes.
