Binru joined Bangor Business School in Sep 2022 as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Banking and Finance. He specialises in empirical banking and finance studies. His research output has attracted policy-makers' attention and has been featured in some major media outlets including The Daily Telegraph etc. His previous research has been published in leading international academic journals including The European Journal of Finance. Also, he held a visiting position at Bank of Finland, Helsinki.  

Additionally, he has been an ad-hoc reviewer for several internationally well-established journals, such as European Financial Management, European Journal of Finance, International Journal of Finance and Accounting, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, etc.
