Research

I am a PhD student in Italian Studies at Bangor University. My research focuses on reading contemporary Italian women’s fiction through the interdisciplinary lens of Food Studies. My research interests include the intersections of food and gender, food and race, food and nationhood, as well as critical eating studies, feminist food studies, food philosophy, food politics, food history and postcolonial literature. I graduated with a BA in Modern Languages and European Studies from the University of Bath. I currently contribute to teaching on undergraduate Italian programmes within the School of Arts, Culture and Languages at Bangor University.
