Overview
Erdenebat Bataa is a Senior Lecturer in Economics. He is also an Academic Associate at the National Research and Consulting Center (NRCC), a think tank in Mongolia.
His research has appeared in many internationally recognized journals, such as The Review of Economics and Statistics (ABS 4), Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics (ABS 3) and Energy Economics (ABS 3).
Erden holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester.
Previously, he held administrative, research and teaching positions at the National University of Mongolia, Korea University, Economic Research Institute for Northeast Asia (Japan), Lancaster University, and the University of Manchester.
He was a Monetary Policy Committee member of the Central Bank of Mongolia and served on the board of Bodi Insurance, one of the largest insurance companies in Mongolia.
Erden also has been a consultant to the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.
