Dr Melissa Jones

Overview
Melissa Jones specialises in Biomechanics. Following recieveing a BSc in Human Biosciences from the University of Exeter and an MSc in Sports Biomechanics from Loughbrough University, Melissa joined the University of Portsmouth where she completed a PhD with the Research Group in Breast Health. Whilst studying at Porstmouth Melissa also worked as a lecturer and research associate.
Melissa's research focusses on female biomechanics, and how the breasts impact the rest of body. She is also interested in breast health education and bra preferences of athletes and has conducted research and consultancy work with elite athletes in this area.
Melissa is a member of the Institute of Applied Physiology at Bangor University and an external member of the Research Group in Breast Health at the University of Portsmouth
