The TRANSFORMATION Project captures my engaged scholarship, my work with a variety of organisations. The focus is on transformation, identifying how organisations become receptive (or non-receptive) for change. There are a wide range of resources from toolsets, case studies and video material. - https://nziw.wales/north-east-wales-industrial-decarbonisation-cluster-new-id/
NEWID is one of my current research projects. I'm leading Bangor University's Economic and Social Benefits Analysis, Work Package 9. NEWID has kick-started the Green Industrial Revolution in North East Wales. The mission? To create a trusted, sustainable, prosperous and resilient industry in the region. Starting from the brilliant work of the region’s two Industrial Hubs — Deeside Decarbonisation Forum and Wrexham Achieving Carbon Zero — NEWID is all about teamwork. It brings together regional organisations, helps them plan how to cut down on carbon, and sets up the right structures for place-based decarbonisation. NEWID’s goal is to substantially reduce the carbon-footprint of industry in the region by 2030 — with the gold-standard of full-decarbonisation by 2050. Aligning with the Local Energy Action Plans of Flintshire and Wrexham Councils, NEWID is actively collaborating to make North East Wales a greener and cleaner place. Together, they work hand in hand to drive the region’s transition toward a more sustainable future.
