Overview
Dr Wei Jin received his Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2017. He was a lecturer at Southwest Petroleum University in China from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, he joined the Optical Communications Research group at the School of Electronic Engineering, Bangor University, working as a postdoctoral researcher, and was awarded a lectureship in 2021.
His research interests include high-speed optical transmission systems, low-cost optical access networks, seamless optical metro-access network convergence, reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers and advanced DSP algorithms, etc. He has authored and/or co-authored more than 75 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and international conferences.
