By poetological reflection on the experimental hypertext Verifiktion, this article argues to move beyond language as a demarcation of the unspeakable, as implied with Wittgenstein, Heidegger and Gadamer. Instead, the article suggests language as a tool of deterritorialisation (Deleuze and Guattari). Drawing on techniques of the avant-gardes, Verifiktion evokes a heterotopic space for a mutual exploration of German with Welsh and vice versa. The article reconstructs the playful and multilingual expansion of language(s) and its potential for widening experience and our being in and by language. On the bigger picture, the article also suggests new perspectives on an the idea and practice of Fluxus.
