N2 - It has been generally considered that facilitation of information is the main effect of attention. However, recently studies have been published showing different functions of attention to those typically referred. Thus, attention could operate to suppressing irrelevant information when we select information to make an action. This work will describe variables which specify nature and methodology for the study of inhibitory mechanism. Finally, the most relevant implications for the current problem of visual information information for action will be described.
