N2 - In Interrogating the authenticity of outdoor education in teacher education, the author presents a personal researcher's journey into an area less well represented in the literature, dealing with subjects that, whilst contextually specific, have broader implications for global outdoor education and teacher education programmes. The book takes the reader on deep dives into the philosophical foundations for both teacher education and outdoor education, and how they overlap in the context of the study upon which this book is based, and North’s work in Aotearoa New Zealand. Throughout, North communicates how his own position develops through the course of the study from which this book results.
