The hidden impacts of court closures in North Wales

Following the closure of several rural magistrate courts between 2010 and 2016, the impacts have been keenly felt by our communities’ most vulnerable people. As a criminology PhD student and a volunteer within the North Wales criminal justice system, I’ve seen first-hand the devastating domino effect of these court closures.
