BU-IIA Funded Project: Developing a Bangor 3D Laser Marking System
- Liyang Yue - Contributor
Description
In this project, two current-driven liquid crystal lenses (Optotune EL-10-42-OF) will be added to the current two nanosecond fibre laser modules (wavelengths: 1064 nm and 532 nm) at Bangor Dean Street to realise the tunable laser focuses in the depth direction (z-axis). The advanced Bangor 3D laser making systems can participate in many innovation activities and research projects in North Wales relating to the local business growth, communication network/infrastructure building, and rejuvenation of nuclear facilities.
Funding awarded through the Bangor University Innovation and Impact Award (Research Wales Innovation Funding). Value = £9985
