N2 - The article provides an empirical analysis of the Extended Model of Goal-directed Behavior (EMGB) in human decision making process for smoking cessation in Great Britain. It is stated that the model broadens the renowned Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the previous Model of Goal-directed Behavior (MGB). The examination concentrates on the government endorsed method of smoking cessation through the use of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). Theoretical background as well as hypotheses are also offered.
