N2 - Anecdotally, educators hold that attendance correlates with achievement. The goal being to encourage students to attend our sessions, giving them the best opportunity possible. While examining our learning analytics model (for Bangor University undergraduates), we came across anomalies that we could not explain. We investigate these anomalies and reveal underlying trends when student behaviour patterns are disturbed. We have found a broad detrimental trend within our student body in these cases.
